PortAventura World’s Carnival of Carnivals comes to an end… but it will be back!

PortAventura World’s Carnival of Carnivals ends this weekend and, with it, also ends this new period where fun, dancing, joy, and costumes have merged with adrenaline and provided us with unique moments.

But do you know what the best thing is? That, although this year has been the Resort’s first carnival, it won’t be the last. The thing is… at PortAventura World we love fun!

A party to remember

Six weekends in which the Resort was filled with confetti and fun. The Rio and Venice carnivals came together to celebrate a party full of joy, to the samba beats, and with the most authentic Venetian elegance.

In these days, we have experienced (and you have experienced) endless emotions and we have immortalised thousands of moments on Instagram and TikTok.

We’ve had a great time at the shows

Carnival is synonymous with costumes, but also with music, laughter, and dancing. Lots of dancing. And that’s precisely what we’ve done: we’ve danced a lot!

We have felt as if we were really in the city of Rio, we have gone C-R-A-Z-Y for the acrobatics of some shows, we have been amazed by carnivalesque magic tricks, and we have given the body everything it asked of us so that there was no end to the rhythm in this first Carnival that we will always remember.

We crowned the Carnival King!

We wanted to make our Carnival completely authentic so on 18 February we held a costume contest to find our King or Queen of the Carnival of Carnivals.

Our social media team searched for the best costumes of the day, photographed them, and you voted for your favourite.

And this was the winning costume, which was shown off in the Carnival Parade on 11 March! Awesome, right?

Next year… get ready for more!

PortAventura World’s first ever Carnival of Carnivals has been an unforgettable party, but, as we hinted at the beginning of this post, it will not be the last. In fact, we are already thinking about the 2024 Carnival and we can assure you one thing: if you liked it this year, you’ll like it even more next year because it will be much better!

The adventure continues with Easter Celebration

At PortAventura World, we have plans to make 2023 better than last year so, after this Carnival of Carnivals, we’re now going to celebrate the arrival of spring with Easter Celebration. We can’t tell you much for now, but what we can say is that you’re going to have a great time and that it’s going to be a time full of excitement and adrenaline.
