9 May is Europe Day. On this date we remember the importance of peace and unity between the countries that make up the European Union.

But… why do we commemorate this specific date? Because on 9 May 1950 the historic Schuman Declaration was signed. This document proposed the creation of a European Coal and Steel Community, whose members would pool production of these two resources.

At PortAventura World we love to welcome adventurers from all over Europe and the rest of the world with open arms, and we have features that reproduce the spirit of places so far away that they exist beyond your wildest dreams.

Sun, beaches, and fun!

Europe is a beautiful continent with wonderful landscapes and cultures to explore. However, it is true that some countries don’t have the best weather. It can rain morning, noon, and night!

Luckily, PortAventura World is in Spain, one of the countries that boasts the most hours of sunshine! And it’s not just anywhere in Spain. It’s in the heart of the Costa Dorada, next to some of the Mediterranean’s best beaches.

So now you know, if you live in a country where it’s colder more often than not, visiting us is a great option.

Hotels for the whole family

Chances are, if you’re travelling from another European country, you’ll want to bring some people along with you. That’s why we have a great selection of hotels where you can experience exciting adventures as a family!

For example, at Hotel Caribe, Hotel Colorado Creek, and Hotel Gold River, we have children’s play areas, entertainment services, and even cots available at no additional cost.

Throughout our parks, you will also find attractions and experiences for all ages, as well as restaurants and food outlets with a wide and varied range of cuisines where you can relax and top up your energy levels.

You’re all welcome here!

A piece of Europe around every corner

To make sure you don’t feel homesick, you will find features that preserve the essence of European culture in all 3 of our theme parks. In Ferrari Land, for instance, you can see a copy of Michaelangelo’s David and the Colosseum.

And in PortAventura Park you will be delighted by perfect replicas of typical Mediterranean fishing villages or you can enjoy a glass or two of European wine in restaurants such as Vinosfera.

We have lots of adventurers who come to visit us from places like France, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Germany.

Visit us and be a part of our happy union!
