A journey through the history of Ferrari and our park

At PortAventura World, we love adrenaline and high speeds. That’s why at our resort we couldn’t miss out on a space dedicated to pay tribute to our favourite racing team: Ferrari!

Warm up your engines and keep your eyes wide open because today we want to tell you a little bit more about the history of the Italian company, its founder and everything that you can find in our Ferrari Land park.

An adventure packed with excitement

The great journey of the “Cavallino Rampante” brand started in 1929, when a young Italian driver named Enzo Ferrari received a task that would change the course of motor racing history. And what was this assignment? To create a team entirely dedicated to motor racing competition!  

In this mission, Enzo wasn’t only responsible for designing and managing the fastest cars ever made, but he also drove them. And they also say that he was one of the best drivers, and out on the track, that’s where his showed his tremendous passion for strong emotions.

But it wasn’t until years later, in 1947, when this budding company took on the name of its founder. By then, the company had already made a name for itself in the racing world and its factory, located in the city of Maranello since 1943, was starting to become what it is today.

As you would no doubt expect, this history packed with technology and top acceleration deserved to have a spot in PortAventura World. And there was no better way to achieve this than in the form of a theme park!

Ferrari Land

On 6 April 2017, we flung open the gates of Ferrari Land, the only theme park in all of Europe dedicated to the racing team!

With a surface area of approximately 70,000 square meters, it has 16 energetic rides where technology, safety and adrenaline merge into an incredible experience.

Ferrari Experience

Ferrari Experience is the central building of the park. It’s where you’ll discover the history of the Italian motor racing team through an immersive experience like no other!

In addition, inside you will find the Ferrari Land Gallery, where you can take pictures with replicas of vintage race cars, see snapshots of the celebrities that used to drive them and much more.

Flying Dreams is also an experience that you can’t miss. In it you will fly around the world as you follow the trail of a striking Ferrari GT. Be amazed by the most incredible landscapes and admire how the impressive crimson car takes to the bends!

Red Force

This is the star ride of the park! A 112-metre-high vertical accelerator, Red Force can reach 180 km/h in only 5 seconds.

We can guarantee that you’ve never experienced anything like it!

Pole Position Challenge

In Ferrari Land, you will also find a place where you can get behind the wheel of an F1 car and drive around hyper-realistic racing circuits. Get into one of our 8 simulators in Pole Position Challenge and try to get the fastest time!

Ferrari Land is ultimately a fortitude of speed full of the greatest rides like Junior Red Force, Kids’ Tower, Flying Race, Junior Championship, Crazy Pistons and many more!
