Guide to a frightfully fun Halloween 2024 at PortAventura World!

A strange mist has descended upon PortAventura World. If you close your eyes and listen carefully, you hear far more screams than usual. And strange creatures lurk in the shadows around the park. Do you know what this means?

That’s right, our Halloween is here! And this year, we’re more motivated than ever to make your skin crawl. Our park is prepared with a wide range of ghostly new arrivals that will send a shiver up your spine and a series of spooky activities that can be enjoyed by the whole family.

OUR CREEPY CREATURES WILL INVADE THE PARK ON 21 SEPTEMBER!

At PortAventura World, we celebrate Halloween from 21 September to 10 November. If you’re brave enough, you’ve got ample opportunity to come back for further frights before the season ends…

Before you come, you should consider the best dates to visit the park. By consulting the “OPENING DATES AND TIMES” section of our website, you’ll see the days on which the park is likely to have fewer visitors. This will allow you to avoid the busiest dates and make the most of your visit!

As you can see, the two busiest days are set to be 12 and 31 October. With this in mind, you might be tempted to visit us on different dates to avoid the crowds.

THE DAY MIGHT GO A LITTLE SOMETHING LIKE THIS…

Picture the scene. It’s a weekday morning. You wake up, as always, to the sound of your alarm. You shower, get dressed and have breakfast like you always do. But this isn’t a normal day. Once everyone is ready, you jump in your car and get to PortAventura World for opening time. You stroll through the gates at 10 am sharp. You notice, straight away in Mediterrània, that something isn’t right. This doesn’t feel like PortAventura World. Not only are there pumpkins as far as the eye can see, but there are also bats, cobwebs and other-worldly beings such as zombies, the Madman and the Witch. There are even hand-painted Mexican calavera skulls.

The decoration is so extraordinary, in fact, that you stop for selfies and group photos every couple of minutes!

You warm up on some of the less crowded rides such as El Diablo – Tren de la Mina and Serpiente Emplumada. Then, once you’ve embraced the Halloween spirit and started to get in the mood, you crank up the dial by braving one of our latest attractions, Hysteria in Boothill!

Then you go on several other rides by walking through one of our most frightfully fun Scare Zones, such as La Maldición del Emperador. You then shoot straight off to catch West Blood Frenzy, one of our bone-chilling Halloween shows.

To round off the morning, you catch one of our family-friendly spook-tacular shows such as Truco o Trato or Ya es Halloween en SésamoAventura: two productions that are incredibly popular with our younger PortAdventurers.

HALLOWEEN SET MENU AT RACÓ DE MAR AND THE IRON HORSE

At lunchtime, you recharge your batteries by getting stuck into a terrifyingly tasty set menu at Racó de Mar or The Iron Horse. Don’t let your guard down, as there’s every chance that one of our other-worldly creatures will serve up a scary surprise!

After lunch, you head straight to Uncharted: The Enigma of Penitence, Dragon Khan or Shambhala. With many visitors still eating, this is a great time to enjoy the heavyweight attractions.

A SPINE-TINGLING AFTERNOON

In the afternoon, you pluck up the courage to experience our epic passages of terror. In our latest arrival, Angkor, la Leyenda del Rey Caníbal, you’re caught by King Rajakarn as you try to sneak into his temple. To escape to safety, you need to flee from the furious monarch and his troop of ferocious monkeys!

With adrenaline surging through your veins, you head directly to REC® Experience, La Muerte Viva or La Isla Maldita for a frightening finish to the afternoon.

Before leaving the park, you soak up the atmosphere of the Halloween Parade and watch fireworks punctuate the sky in Horror en el Lago.
