In 2002, PortAventura World opened its first ever hotel in the entire complex. A milestone that paved the way to a full-service resort where you can enjoy a holiday without even leaving the premises. From that moment on, PortAventura World experienced progressive growth focused on the hospitality industry, with the addition of large, first-rate, themed hotels. Below, you can read the history of Hotel PortAventura, its origins and many more interesting facts.
What was the inspiration behind Hotel PortAventura?
Hotel PortAventura was built as a reflection of Mediterranean light and architecture. The hotel rooms are distributed between houses of no more than three floors around a central area of gardens, swimming pools and a main square. Direct access to the park makes it even more convenient for hotel guests to enjoy the attractions and shows in this area.
The hotel recreates a town on the Catalan coast with its squares, villages, bars, etc., creating a perfect and peaceful environment. All the buildings surround the lake and its shores are themed with boats, small ports, fishermen’s nets and a host of other details.
