At PortAventura World, we know for sure that building a better future is possible if we all make a contribution, however small it may be. That’s why we’re helping our visitors to create unforgettable memories, while generating a positive impact on the environment.
How do we do it?
Keep reading to find out more and celebrate World Environment Day by doing something to make your own surroundings a much better place.
Our mission goes beyond one-off actions. We have demonstrated a firm and constant commitment to the environment since the day we first opened.
Our attractions operate with 100% renewable energy, we have our own photovoltaic plant with more than 11,000 solar panels, and we are a zero waste resort. That means we recover more than 90% of the wastes that we generate!
And it doesn’t end there…
We want to share with you an action that we have taken in honour of World Oceans Day, because taking care of the planet is an important part of our purpose and we will always be here to protect the Mediterranean Sea!
This sea is part of our history. For this reason, we have joined the movement #PLASTICFREEOCEANS together with GRAVITY WAVE to clean up our sea and ports.
We will collect 1 kg of plastic from the Mediterranean for each visitor who enters PortAventura Park on 11 June. We will do everything we can to protect our surroundings so that we can all live together in perfect harmony, respecting our world and taking care of it!
Our journey has only just begun and there is so much more we want to do to help the planet. No one knows the challenges we will face as a society in the future, but one thing is clear…
